Reconstruct Ogbe-Ijoh market, Hitler tells Delta govt

WARRI—SECRETARY of the Community Development Committee (CDC) for Ogbe-Ijoh, Isaba and Diebiri clans in Delta State, Mr. Joseph Hitler, yesterday, called on the state government to reconstruct the Ogbe-Ijoh market in Warri, which he claimed was abandoned, three years ago.

In an interview with Vanguard, he said, “it is imperative to reconstruct the market so as to improve the living standard of people in Warri and environs, as in the process of reconstruction, employment opportunities will be created for unemployed youths”.

His words: “I call on Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan to direct the deputy governor, Prof. Amos Utuama to visit Ogbe-Ijoh modern market construtciton site and liaise with the Ogbe-Ijoh kingdom, which is the major stakeholder to know the level of construction work done on the site.

“The Ogbe-Ijoh market reconstruction”, he asserted, “was abandoned in 2006”, adding, “the state government should take this into consideration and give further directives to kick-start the project. It is a top priority project to the people of Ogbe-Ijoh kingdom and the government should see it as such”, Hitler said.
