P & G introduces biannual newsletter “In Touch”

P&G Nigeria  recently hosted its business partners, customers, media and other stakeholders at an event launching its biannual regional Newsletter ‘In Touch’ at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

It was an evening showcasing its history, brands and social responsibility programs in Nigeria through an exhibition, videos, poetry and music. The climax of the event was the unveiling of the Newsletter in a stunning display of lights revealing a larger-than-life model of the newsletter – ‘In Touch’.

In his welcome speech at this event, the Managing Director of P&G West Africa stated that P&G’s commitment to social and economic growth of Nigeria over 17 years and has seen the company continually investing in the nation’s manufacturing sector with an aggressive plan to significantly increase this investment over the next five years; increasing production capacity across its brands, and building additional manufacturing facilities generating thousands of new jobs directly and indirectly through distributors and suppliers and ensuring that P&G continues to expand its Corporate Social Responsibility program Live, Learn and Thrive which reaches over two million Nigerians every year.

“We’ve challenged ourselves to make P&G the most “in touch” company in Nigeria. We will achieve this vision by getting closer to consumers, customers, stakeholders, external partners and employees” said Stanislav Vecera. “Being in touch requires that we listen to you, be open and transparent, appreciate your opinion, anticipate your needs and respond with brands, products and services that delight you. We must first be in touch if we are to keep P&G in the lead and fulfill our purpose of improving lives every day”, Vecera told the gathering of stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dele Olojede, Pulitzer laureate and the Publisher of NEXT on Sunday newspaper commended P&G on the launch of ‘In Touch’ and spoke on the quality of leadership, not just political, but leadership in every field and at every level. He said that “Leadership is about making sure we do our best in every area and eventually through this create a new way of thinking and being. We see that this is a founding principle of P&G”.
