President of Nigeria Football Federation, Sani Lulu Abdulahi has praised Governor Babatunde Fashola and indeed Nigerians for trooping out in their thousands to watch the Federations cup final at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The absence of fans in stadia have been a major headache to the NFF and sponsors but at the weekend, Lulu and many stakeholders brightened up, hailed Nigerians for coming back to the stands. “I am delighted with Nigerians and I hail Governor Fashola for all his assistance”, Lulu said.

Another board member, Dr. Peter Singabele also lauded Nigerians for coming back to the stands thereby making FA Cup thick. “First, I was marveled at the facilities at Teslim Balogun Stadium and what Governor Fashola is doing in Lagos in general. For a very long time I have not seen such mammoth crowd in our stadia. I was happy to see Nigerians back”, Singabele said.

Lagosians have been clamouring for the return of matches to Lagos but it appears that some coaches who are wary of the critical Lagos fans prefer to take matches outside Lagos. But Enyimba and Sharks in the final match played very well to entertain the crowd as well as Bayelsa United and Lobi in the third place match.
