Onuesoke advises grassroots politicians to support leaders

By  Festus Ahon
UGHELLI—Delta State Special Project Director on the Ughelli/Asaba road dualization, Mr. Sunny Onuesoke, has enjoined grassroots politicians to rally round their representatives and leaders at all levels in their bid to get a fair share of the dividends of democratic rule.

Onuesoke, who spoke Monday when the Choice 2011 for Uduaghan/Utuama paid him a solidarity visit in his Ughelli office, said political representatives needed the support of the people at the grassroots to perform and deliver on their mandates.

He also advised political representatives and leaders to get themselves involved in grassroots politics, adding that both the electorate and political representatives have a key role to play in the development of the country.

While reiterating that Delta State was mainly a PDP state, Onuesoke charged Deltans to fully mobilize themselves for the re-election of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan come 2011 and told the group to be steadfast in their vision.

Earlier in his speech, the President of Choice 2011 for Uduaghan/Utuama, Mr. Donatus Eromosele, described Mr. Sunny Onuesoke as a grassroots politician who has the interest of the common man at heart.

Eromosele said the group was poised towards mobilizing the people at the grassroots for the re-election of Uduaghan/Utuama in 2011.
