OWERRI—Imo State government has revoked the appointment of Mr. Steve Onu, who until Wednesday, was the General Manager of Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO).
Although government was silent on why it dropped the substantive General Manager, it however, named the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sanitation and Transport, Chief Willie Amadi, as Acting General Manager.
The change was conveyed in a Government House statement by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs Bureau, Mr. Stanley Mbachu, on behalf of the secretary to the Government of Imo State, Chief Cosmas Iwu,
Government also stated that the new Acting GM will hold the office in addition to his position as Special Adviser to the Governor on Sanitation and Transport.
While Amadi was informed that “the appointment takes immediate effectâ€, government also reminded the SA that it expects this appointment will spur him to greater achievement.
