ABUJA — The grand plot to throw the House of Representatives into another round of chaos and anarchy through spurious allegations and media attacks against the leadership of the House have been uncovered.
According to reports, some members in the House were said to have been holding meetings with a view to throwing up spurious allegations against some members of the leadership of the House like Emeka Ihedioha, the Chief Whip; Tunde Akogun, Hou-se Leader and the Speaker,  Dimeji Bankole.
According to the reports, the grouses of the group against the House leadership stem from the fact that, they were “schemed out†in the “sharing†of the acclaimed proceeds of the 10th Anniversary celebrations of democracy and that of the retreat in Kano and Uyo.
Reacting to the plots by this group in the House to create another round of confusion, the Chairman, Network for Good Legislation, an NGO based in Abuja, Malllam Sadiq Muktar, called on those who benefited from previous crises in the House to sheathe their swords as another round of leadership crisis in the House will not deliver democratic dividends to the electorates.
Mallam Sadiq Muktar stated that those fanning the embers of disunity, anarchy and chaos in the House are being sponsored by their external allies, who uses these crisis to feather their political nests, and urged them to embrace dialogue and peace so as to deepen democracy in Nigeria .
According to him, the organisation has also uncovered the plots by the same group to embark on campaign of calumny against the House leader, Tunde Akogun, whom they accuse of not “reaching out to members, and having a hand in how the money meant for the Kano and Uyo retreat was unequally shared among members.
