He stated this at the insemination of war tactics by Young Officers at the School in Bauchi, saying the training becomes important considering the on going globalization of defense mechanisms.

According to him, with the development of hi-tech in the information world, there was the need for young officers to be trained to enable them  catch up with the new trend as the military is now a more unit of attraction.

“Since old officers are gradually giving way due to age and other things, young officers should be taught how to take over from them as well as other warfare techniques particularly how to take care of the equipments available to the Nigerian Army, “ he said

Ewansiha expressed satisfaction in the performance of the young officers who are attending the course.

He added, “with what I have seen from these young officers, the defence of the country’s territory is assured as they have demonstrated that they are equal to the task so all they need now is intensive training to bring them up to date in Military operations.”

According to the Commandant, the training is a routine exercise which is aimed at integrating infantry officers into the Armour Corps of the Nigerian Army pointing out  that after the young officers course they will also go into the company officers course at which level they are ready for various command postings in line with the guidelines of the Military.

He advised the young officers to ensure that they make use of   all they have learnt in the course of the six months training exercise.
