IBB throws support for Sia-One Academy E-mail

ABUJA— Former   President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida has pledged to galvanise the private sector to boost the Samson Siasia academy, Sia-one Soccer Academy just as the Federal Government is collaborating with Spain through Real Madrid FC to float similar academy to enhance foot-ball development amongst the youths in the country.

General Babaginda, who was represented at the launch of the N3 billion project by the former Sports Minister, Colonel Musa Mohammed (rtd), said the establishment of the soccer academy was the best initiative as it would focus on youths football development.

Good Presidential campaign. I guess you realize that time is flying and more credible Nigerians are coming to the limelight. Positive thinkers and not politicians is what we need. The game of politicians in Nigeria is passing away. I wonder what is wrong with the Nigerian media. The whole Nigerians are jealous of the developement happening in States like Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Delta andwe are wondering why such developements is not being notice in the presidency. Nigerians is asking for positive thinkers and not political compensations.

Whether we like it or not,IBB is an elderstatesman of this country. Now,he\'s identifying with one of the youth problems of this country and we are still grunmbling. Is he the only rich man in Nigeria? Some politicians stacth our money abroad at the expense of Niger/Delta youths who are busy masqurading themselves as militants whereas they are armed robbers. If we have a good stadium with good indoor facilities at Bayelsa, most youths in the area will prefer to spend their times in the gym playing games and representing Nigeria than risking their lives seizing oil platforms and all stuffs. In a nutshell,let us not call a dog a bad name becos we want to kill it, leave IBB alone, let him spend his money in Nigeria than taking it to Britain or Swizaland. Thanks.
