With its continued resolve in revolutionizing how the world engages with ideas and information, imaging software giant, Adobe software, through its distributor, Licence to Learn has restated their commitment to the Nigerian market with its various state-of-the-art products available in the global IT market.
The Sales Manager, Licence To Learn, Adobe Distributor for West and Central Africa (WECA) Amen Edison Edebor who addressed IT journalists last week in Lagos to unfold the company’s new plans for the Nigerian market, disclosed that more than 90% of creative professionals currently have Adobe products running on their desktops.
Further to this Licence to Learn, according to him, is now also offering the local partner channel the chance to take part in there new VAR Programme, launched a month ago to increase the value on a already exciting Adobe offering. “This will allow selected partners in the channel to get some marketing founds from the Distributor in order to increase there Adobe sales and to better position them in a very lucrative market” he said.
Most users, he said, only know the Acrobat part of Adobe and are captured by the fantastic ability to transform documents to “secure documents”, that can be mailed across the world in a unchangeable form.
Further to the great offering of Acrobat 9, he informed that Adobe recently announced the release of its new version of the Creative Suite range; Adobe Creative Suite 4 offers unprecedented choice among editions and stand-alone products, with comprehensive support for the most cutting-edge workflows for virtually any design discipline.” Customers can choose from six suites or full version upgrades of 15 stand-alone applications, including Photoshop® CS4, Photoshop CS4 Extended, InDesign® CS4 (see separate releases), Illustrator® CS4, Flash® CS4 Professional, Dreamweaver® CS4, After Effects® CS4, and Adobe Premiere® Pro CS4" he added
Licence to Learn , according to him, was born out of the need for a better and more cost effective method of purchasing Adobe products through a specialist technology provider, with a particular focus on Adobe products. “In August 2006 Adobe granted Licence to Learn the rights to market the CLP (Contractual Licensing Programme and TLP (Transactional Licensing Programme) to the commercial, governmental and education market. We also have the Commercial Shrink-wrap product available for our traditional retail channel” he said
“Since our inception we have made tremendous progress in promoting Adobe in the Africa market and have built up strong relationships with educational institutions of South Africa, our aim is now to replicate this in the rest of Africa. We have a long-standing relationship with Adobe with expert knowledge of the Adobe licensing system and a great deal of experience dealing with the Adobe products.
“The License to Learn difference is that we are not just a traditional distributor, but more a VAD (Value added distributor). With our focus being value added services such as management of your software assets. We manage your licensing programme from start to finish and advise on new releases as well as upgrade paths via maintenance on our licensing systems”
Licence to learn, he added, has also increased it footprint into Africa recently by opening an office in Lagos, Nigeria servicing the market with extended knowledge of distribution and the Adobe product brand. Continuing on this success, our strategy is to cover the major regions in Africa and to ensure that we continue our aggressive delivery of product, value added services and product knowledge to our partners and there customers.
