Eagles big guns hit Abuja, Peterside too

Nwankwo Kanu breezed into the Super Eagles camp yesterday night along with two of the team’s biggest guns, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and deputy skipper Joseph Yobo. On arrival too was Idah Peterside, the spokesman of Eagles whose character in the team is a big plus for Nigeria.

The Eagles are preparing for Saturday’s 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifier against Sierra Leone on Saturday at the National Stadium.
Kanu came in the company of Yobo and Getafe striker Ikechukwu Uche, while Aiyegbeni sauntered in a few hours later.
The latest arrivals take the number in camp to 16 with the previous arrivals being Dele Aiyenugba, Austin Ejide, Chidi Ordia, Taye Taiwo, Daniel Shittu and Dele Adeleye.
Others who arrived Tuesday are Sani Kaita, Kalu Uche, Chinedu Obasi, Osaze Odemwingie, Christian Obodo, Obinna Nsofor, Joseph Akpala and Onyekachi Apam. Fifteen players trained at the main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium yesterday's morning.
