The smiling and relaxed faces of those on bench of Al Ahly said it all. They were generally laughing away and exuding optimism of what lies ahead in a fortnight when the return leg of their CAF Champions League semi final tie against Enyimba is played.

Al Ahly, the great Egyptian club, rated by the continent’s soccer ruling body, as the best club in Africa, had taken one mighty step towards reaching their third consecutive Champions League final appearance after holding an underperforming Enyimba to a barren draw in Aba on Sunday.
