Cocaine tragedy: Nigerian dies in Senegal-Spain flight E-mail

A Nigerian man suffered a heart attack after cocaine capsules burst in his stomach, forcing a plane flying from Senegal to Spain to make an emergency landing in Morocco, airport officials and police said yesterday.

The man had taken ill during the flight on Sunday with a “heart condition caused by a drug overdose,” airport authorities said, with police confirming that a subsequent X-ray had revealed 62 cocaine capsules inside his stomach — two of which were found to be empty.

“We believe that the contents of the empty capsules provoked the overdose and the heart attack,” the police source added.
The plane, belonging to Spanish carrier Iberia Airlines, set off again for Madrid after its unscheduled stop.

The victim’s body was transferred to the morgue in Casablanca. Also on Tuesday, a Dutchman died in the French port of Calais when a two-kilo (four-and-a-half-pound) bag of cocaine exploded in his stomach as he attempted to smuggle it into Britain, police said.

A good lesson for the remaining Nigerians who want to get rich overnight without labour. A life is more valuable than any amount of money. Instead of our young ones to focus on education and embrass technology, they are trecking wrong road of getting rich quick. If you use your bran,time and energy vary well, your resarch can easyly provides a usefull product to 140 million nigerian population where by you make a gain of say one dolla per product. By doing so, you are more importantant than the president of nigeria. But, our people seems to be blinded. They want to get rich at all cost.The man who dead in Senegal-Spain flight must blamed himself. such a bad element are giving nigerians home and abroad bad name.

I dont know why our nigerians will not just stay home and work hard to make money for themselves and their families because even the drug they go and see abroad is still endangering their lives. I know dat it is only God dat will help us and we all will need to learn a very great lesson from this dead man.

The world is indeed safer with his death. You would think that some shit-head out there would learn from this tragedy. No, they would end up the same way. For them is a feverish rat-race. 
Education is the only ticket to the good life. Nigerians should seize the day. 48 years after the pseudo-independence, Nigeria can barely crawl and her people are in self induced stupor. The country is run by clowns, dimwits and incredibly corrupt monsters. 
The tragedy of the Nigerian situation is that, there is no moral outrage. I take no pride in being a Nigerian today. I would not be sending flowers.

I take no pity to his death and urge no one to pity anyone who chose to kill himself. But I still blame the Govt. for such suicidal tracks of young people. The govt has decided to enrich themselves overnight at expense of poor masses and no reward nor recognition to hardworking group, instead recognition is only given to those who stole money from govt coffers nor to fraudsters going on big cars and live in well furnished mansions all these encourage some poor spirited people who lost hope of tomorrow to take to game of 50/50. To survive well or to die. Well he has died which is what he signed for. Kpele, no pity for you.

it's very sad,but i wouldn't blame the guy totally.Nigeria is the only country in the world with abundant human and natural resources that it's people are still living in abject poverty and pains,serious pains!. 
 
This is a country were nothing is working,where there is no plan for the youth,that's exactly why Nigeria youth are moving out of Nigeria in desperate search of good life,our leaders are fluctuating there evil gotten wealth,money they stole from the people,money that was map out for the development of the nation. 
 
In desperate need to run out of poverty,this young guys and lady whose life have been frustrated from there leaders migrate to Europe and America and indulging themselves in illicit drugs. 
 
Sorry for Nigeria.I graduated in 2006 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and have not gotten a job up till now,not only me,95% of my course mate have nothing doing,so what would you expect someone in my shoes when he or she get to Europe or America? please,you guys should hold our leaders responsible,they are crooks!
