NO, there is no mix-up in the title of this piece. As I write this, the sun of Nuhu Ribadu whose frontal tackling of the human vipers in our midst made his outfit, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the most dreaded security agency this country has ever lived with, has set. Anyone who did not see it coming must have a problem with visioning.

The immunity clause sore

THE president has endorsed the removal of the  immunity clause which is section 308 of the Constitution. I have also heard many highly-placed legal practitioners ask for the removal of that clause. I had occasion to discuss this subject comprehensibly at Abuja at the Lawyers in the Media forum of the Nigerian Bar Association conference in August.

The Edo State orchestra

I AM not aware that Edo State has any orchestra. But I heard Admiral Mike Akhigbe tell Edo State comrade governor, Admiral Mike Akhigbe the latest toast of the state and the whole country, that after he had been confirmed as the winner of the gubernatorial election in Edo State, he now has to direct the orchestra that will perform in that State.

The confession of Sam Egwu

I HAD to abandon my dinner on November 27.  And I won’t forgive Sam Egwu for being the cause of my loss of appetite. I do not know if you watched Sam on television that night as he boldly and slowly and confidently explained what he did during elections in the state he had the privilege to have presided over for eight years.
