Flying Eagles coach seeks victory in Mauritius

National Under-20 coach, John Obuh said that his target, is a win in this weekend’s African Youth Championships qualifier against Mauritius, in Port Louis.

Coach Obuh’s confidence for victory was after the team was boosted by the arrival of Almeria of Spain forward, Stanley Okoro who was not part of the team when they struggled against Guinea last month.

“We are looking forward to a successful outing in Mauritius. This is to avoid putting ourselves under pressure like we did against Guinea.

“We are banking on God to give us victory in Mauritius. We have worked hard to prepare for this match and we are confident of a good result. It was difficult against Guinea but in the end we were able to overcome,” said Obuh.

Mauritius walked over the Comoros islands before they defeated highly-rated Zambia 3-2 on aggregate to qualify for this stage of the qualifying tournament. The overall winner of this clash will qualify for the African Youth Championship to be staged in Libya.
