Idumuje-Ugboko—Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has commissioned a two-kilometer road project at Idumuje-Ugboko.
He called on well meaning Deltans to emulate the self-help project by Mr. Gabriel Ogbechie, Managing Director of Rainoil Limited.
According to Governor Okowa, “Communities should be involved in self-help projects as government cannot do it alone. Well-to-do individuals in the community can assist in the provision of amenities.”
In his address, Mr. Gabriel Ogbechie thanked the governor and all Deltans for their support.
His words; “With the construction of the road, farmers can now convey their produce to major towns.”
We have also been involved in building a police station, school and provision of learning materials to various schools in the communities, as well as provision of scholarship to indigenes of Idumuje-Ugboko. I use this opportunity to call Delta State government to provide doctors and other health officials at the community hospital.”
