AITEO supports clean water as Face Africa comes to Nigeria

The 7th edition of the Face Africa Wash Gala took place at the Mezzanine, New York on March 25, 2017. The event was supported by Aiteo, one of Africa’s fastest-growing energy leaders.
Face Africa is a global charity that fundraises and executes water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities across Africa. The charity’s projects have had a direct impact on improving the lives of over 25,000 people in rural Liberia and more.
“To say that we are touched and humbled by Aiteo’s support of FACE Africa would not sufficiently convey our immense gratitude,” said ‎Saran Kaba Jones, Founder of Face Africa while expressing her gratitude.‎ “Thanks to Aiteo’s incredible generosity, we raised over $100,000 from WASH Gala ticket sales, pledges, corporate and individual sponsorships. These funds will be used to support our ongoing WASH initiatives in Liberia and this year’s FACE Africa’s program expansion to Nigeria.”‎
This years edition was held in commemoration of the ‘United Nations World Water Day’ on March 22. The honouree of this edition of the gala event was Amina J. Mohammed, former Minister for Environment and newly appointed United Nations Deputy Secretary-General.‎
‎Senior Manager of Communication at the Aiteo Group, Ndiana Matthew states: “Face Africa is a charity focused on contributing to the improvement of the human condition in Africa, a goal Aiteo clearly agrees with and works towards everyday through its services in the energy sector. We’re greatly excited to also sponsor Face Africa’s first Nigerian project that seeks to provide safe water and sanitation facilities to underprivileged communities”.‎
