ABUJA—THE Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday, reshuffled three standing committees of the Senate.
Also yesterday, Saraki named the immediate past Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, as Chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The announcement of his new appointment was made after lawmakers concluded their day three debate on the 2017 budget.
Two more standing committees were created and they are Committees on Sustainable Development Goals, SDG, and Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA.
Senator Magnus Abe (Rivers) was named to head the committee on FERMA, while George Sekibo (Rivers) was named Chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior.
