FA Cup Finals: Teslim Balogun declared open, as Ifeanyi Ubah provides free buses for fans

Barely 24 hours to the 2015/2016 Federation Cup final clash between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United, the gates of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, venue of the mind-pulsating encounter has been declared open for fans and lovers of good football within and across Lagos to come and witness an epic game of football for free, while the fee for the VIP stand has been pegged at N3,000.

In a statement, yesterday, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, who had earlier invited all supporters and fans of FC Ifeanyi Ubah to the Teslim Balogun Stadium for the match, implored fans and lovers of the game to attend the finals of the Women’s Federation Cup final which is billed to kickoff by 1pm at the same venue.

Dr. Ubah also announced the availability of free buses across strategic points in Lagos for conveyance of fans to the match venue on Sunday, November 6, 2016 by 12noon in furtherance of his bid to promote the game, as well as provide an electric atmosphere for what would be a thrilling encounter.

The statement read: “The D-day is here again! On Sunday, 6th of November, 2016, FC Ifeanyi Ubah (Anambra Warriors) will trade tackles with Nasarawa United at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, by 3pm.

“This is a special invite to all lovers of football, supporters and fans of FC Ifeanyi Ubah to join us at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in what promises to be an epic and historic NFF Federation Cup final match with the Female category of the cup competition billed to kickoff by 1pm, while the Men’s category kicks off immediately after proceedings of the Women’s final”

“Fans are advised not to leave the stadium after the finals of the Women’s Federation Cup as the epic match between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United will kick off immediately”.

“As you all know, there is a gate fee to be paid by fans who wish to witness the NFF Federation Cup final match between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United. However, for the love of the game and with gratitude to all stakeholders, I wish to inform you that the gates for the popular stand has been thrown open, while the fee for the VIP stand has been reduced to N3,000.”

“In light of the above, we wish to inform all our fans and lovers of football that, by 12noon on Sunday, November 6, 2016, everyone should make their way to the most convenient point of conveyance in Lagos to join the buses that Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah has provided to transport them free of all charges to the stadium”.

“There will be buses at strategic points across various parts of Lagos State. For fans residing in areas such as Okokomaiko, Badagry, Iyana-iba, Volks and environs, there will be buses at Trade Fair Complex, along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway to convey them to the match venue.

“Those residing in Navy Town, Satellite Town, Festac and environs should go to Alakija Bus-stop to join the buses to convey them to the stadium while fans residing at Amuwo-Odofin and parts of Festac can join the buses at Apple junction”.

“Those residing at Old Ojo Road, Agboju, Maza-maza and environs should go to Mile-2 (under the bridge) to join the buses, while those who reside in Boundary and Ajegunle should join the buses at Wilmer Bus-stop for conveyance the stadium.

“Fans residing at Suru Alaba, Coker, Doyin, Orile and environs should go to Orile Bus-stop to join the buses. There will also be buses at Oshodi, Adetola, Capital Oil & Gas Truck Park along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway and Cele Bus-stop amongst others.

“Our jerseys will also be available at specially discounted prices at the FC Ifeanyi Ubah stand in the stadium. The Football made in Anambra jersey (top & shorts) and Official club jersey for next season, top & shorts (Westham Utd styled) will be available at N3,000 each, while FC Ifeanyi Ubah branded caps will be available for N2,000.”

“Let us all come out en mass to support our team, as well as boost their morale for victory against the Nasarawa United” the statement added.
