THE Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency, LASAA, has warned against flouting of the laws regulating signage displays in commercial centres and market places in Lagos, noting that it would step up enforcement of the existing policy on proper display of signage.
It also called on owners of commercial centres in the state to commence installation of appropriate composite signs as provided in the enabling law.
Briefing newsmen, yesterday in Lagos, Managing Director of LASAA, Mr. Mobolaji Sanusi said the agency is compiling the list of some property owners for verifications purposes.
“We have observed the clusters and clustering of signs within multi-tenanted business premises, hence, an urgent need to step up enforcement on our existing policy on proper display of signs in commercial centers in the state.”
“The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all signs within multi-tenanted business premises observe proper standards as stated in the enabling law without detriment to the surrounding amenities and ensuring an aesthetically pleasing environment.”
