WARRI—A Niger Delta leader, Chief Wellington Bobo, has urged the German government not to sit on the fence, but prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari to engage the people, militants and other stakeholders, in genuine talks to resolve the Niger Delta dilemma.
He said: “My attention has been drawn to the continued silence of the German government on the lingering Niger Delta crisis. I lived in Germany for years before I returned to Nigeria. I want the German government to intervene in the situation because it will create the enabling environment for their business interests in Niger Delta and the country at large.
“They should emulate what the United States is doing as they have a bilateral relationship with Nigeria.”
