LAGOS — Businessman and broadcast entrepreneur, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has affirmed that he was best positioned to take the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to its winning ways as national chairman.
Dokpesi stated this as he formally kicked off his campaign for the office, with a royal blessing from his traditional ruler, Okumagbe, Weppa Wanno, Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor (Omoaze 1).
Dokpesi is one of the four aspirants said to include Chief Bode George and Prince Uche Secondus who are aspiring for the position that has now been zoned to the South.
A new national chairman is expected to emerge at the forthcoming national convention scheduled for August in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Declaring his intention for the office, Dokpesi affirmed that he had what was necessary to turn around the fortunes of the PDP, if voted in as national chairman.
