The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) in the state has thrown its weight behind the candidature of the incumbent deputy governor, Dr. Pius Odubu.

The group at a press conference in Benin, said the adoption of Dr. Odubu as its governorship candidate was based on the outcome of its various consultations with stakeholders in the state on the future of Edo State even as he described the Deputy Governor as a resourceful and tested personality who was well crafted in the art of governance.

CRPP state chairman, Dr. Samson Isibor said: “After reviewing the report of other various consultations, the CRPP resolved to support the Rt. Hon. Pius Odubu as the man Edo state needs this time around to take us to the promise land.
