URHOBO youths in different countries abroad, under the aegis of Urhobo Youth Forum in Europe, have condemned the recent invasion of the residence of the Unuevworo of Ekpan, Uvwie Kingdom, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Newton Agbofodoh, by military men in the guise of combing the area for illegal arms and hoodlums.
They described the action as a disregard for the rule of law.
The forum, in a statement by its national chairman, Emmanuel Sakpakpa, called on Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, leadership of the Urhobo Progress Union and well meaning individuals of Urhobo extraction to call those behind the illegal invasion of Agbofodoh’s residence to order.
Sakpakpa recalled that last week, some military men in their numbers stormed the residence of Agbofodoh without any warrant in the guise that they were looking for arms and hoodlums, destroyed his cars, burglary proofs, windows and other valuables in his absence.
