While the most important rule is to slip into something that makes you comfortable, there are a few looks to avoid.

Read through our list of fashion faux pas to avoid on this romantic day, and probably every day thereafter.

Too much perfume

Make an entrance all on your own. There is no need for your guy or friends at a party tosmell you miles before you walk through the door. A few puff is just fine no matter how good that perfume smells.

Too High heels

Avoid wearing heels that you can’t walk in, they don’t look good on anyone.

Head-to-toe-red

We know, red is the color of the day. Just please don’t wear them all together, that, dear friends, is what we like to call over-the-top.

Too-Tight Dresses

Avoid wearing heels that you can’t walk in, they don’t look good on

anyone. We know, red is the color of the day. Just please don’t wear them all together, that, dear friends, is what we like to call over-the-top.

As hot as you think you look standing up, have you ever tried to sit down in one of these dresses? You cannot sit or cross your legs comfortably in them. So make this night about you, avoid dresses that force you to think more about how uncomfortable you are than the person sitting across the table from you at dinner.

A Totally Sheer Tops or Dresses

There is no need to go too bare. You could do a cut out top that will reveal a bit of your sexy lace bra, but make sure your underwear isn’t totally visible to everyone who looks your way.

Strappy, Complicated Lingerie

Going home with that special someone after your candle lit dinner? Try to shy away from underwear that needs a team of people to strip off of your body.
