ABUJA-AT last copies of the 2016 Budget arrived the National Assembly Complex yesterday after the controversy over the status of the 2016 budget had mellowed down. A mini commercial bus marked BENUE XA374GTJ which brought the copies probably from an unknown commercial Printing Press arrived the Complex around 11 00am unnoticed.
An eyewitness said the mini bus sighted at the back entrance of the complex by the White House where copies of the budget were dispersed to both legislative chambers. Though the copies of the budget were initially off loaded at a corner near the rear entrance of the complex, an unidentified official of NASS later came and inspected the copies before they were later evacuated.
As at 11.25 am, the Chairman on Appropriation, Rep Abdulmunini Jibrin stepped into the chamber carrying about five copies which he gave to the speaker, Yakubu Dogara. Subsequently, about 3 aides followed Rep Jibrin and gave copies to aides attached to the chamber.
