Group extols Senator Bruce’s qualities

Members of a non Governmental Organization, the Ben Bruce Vanguard, BBV, led by its President, Barrister Odiase Ewere, today paid a courtesy call on Commonsense advocate, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, where they pledged support for his ideas on advancing democracy and good governance in Nigeria and pledged to spread his message the length and breadth of Nigeria saying that the Nigerian people needed to hear these ideas in order to re-orientate citizens and ignite their love and patriotism for the country.

Odiase said that reading the back page columns by the Senator in newspapers as well as his Commonsense editorials on television has provoked him to put together a team for the advancement of such worthy ideas.

“This man has great ideas, the like of which we really have not seen in Nigeria and he is articulating it in a way that every Nigerian can understand”, Odiase said.

“Take for instance his recent advise to President Buhari that if he wants Nigeria roads fixed in record time he must ban his minister of works from traveling by air within Nigeria. This is a tangible and pragmatic advice and such should be supported by well meaning Nigerians” Odiase continued.

“The Senator also advised that only those whose kids school in public schools in Nigeria be made minister of education or they won’t have adequate incentive to develop the sector”.

He then urge other successful Nigerians to emulate Senator Bruce, who though is wealthy and employs a thousand staff has never flown First Class in his life.

“This man can afford any of life’s luxuries, yet he has never flown First Class in his life. The highest he has flown is Business Class. We need leaders like this who he can be frugal with their own money and model a non ostentatious life for our youth”.

Other members of the Ben Bruce Vanguard who were at the courtesy visit shared Barrister Odiase’s views.

Pastor Mike Iyoke and Favour Desimhi both pledged to mobilize the Christian community to support the moral rebirth of Nigeria being championed by Bruce. Iyoke also said he would work to ensure that youths followed the example of Senator Bruce.
