Two young Nigerian authors have teamed up to write about former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR and his contributions to nation-building.
The book entitled Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan; the new face of African Democracy highlights the various achievements of the former President, and also happenings in the buildup to the general elections that Nigeria and Africa need to be aware of. The book digs deeper into the very person of Dr. Jonathan, his family, his policies, his dreams for Nigeria, his decisions, and his political ideologies especially, which African leaders need to learn from. Its an interesting read and a book filled with vital information, according to the authors.
Ayo George, one of the authors, could not hide his excitement during a chat with journalists recently in Lagos. He said “what can I say? I am super excited at the prospect of releasing a book written about a President. We had started writing the book long before the elections, as we just felt Dr. Goodluck needed to be celebrated whether he won the elections or not. And when he lost, we felt a greater need to complete the book. So it would be clear the book wasn’t meant to patronize him in the first place. Africa must begin to write her own stories. Our children must read about this great man. He is presently being suggested for the Nobel Peace prize, our plans for the promotion of this book is part of that suggestion”.
Dayo Taiwo, the co-author revealed that on 21st of July, it would be released on various platforms across the world.
