Table-topping Sunshine Stars will tomorrow hope to consolidate on their lead when they confront Rangers International at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu.
Fresh from their 3-0 spanking of champions Kano Pillars at the Akure Stadium last Sunday, Sunshine Stars go into the game against 11tth placed Rangers confident of doing the damage and cement their place as the top side in the country.
Armed with 26 points from 13 matches, Sunshine Stars boast the best attack in the league, scoring 21 goals in as many matches and march into Enugu with hopes of finding the back of their opponents nets.
But the coach Kennedy Boboye side will thread carefully as they come up against a resurgent Rangers side, who last weekend ran away from Warri with all three points after pipping Wolves 1-0 at the Warri Township Stadium.
Though they are 10 spots behind Sunshine Stars, Rangers will be counting on their boisterous and passionate Enugu fans to ginger them to eke the three points they need to improve their fortunes in the league which enters week 14 tomorrow.
With the stakes so high for both sides, it seems that fans are in for a swell time as Sunshine seek to consolidate their lead against Rangers.
