BENIN—THE Edo Youth Empowerment Forum, EYEF, a socio-political organisation in Edo State, has faulted the comment by a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, that he was instrumental to the coming of Governor Adams Oshiomhole as governor of the state.
The group said that it was God that brought Oshiomhole to Edo and not Ize-Iyamu, adding that his comment contradicts his earlier denials that he was not in-charge during the administration of Governor Lucky Igbinedion.
“How come he is now saying that he was one of those that brought Oshiomhole when he was only the Secretary to Government then under Lucky Igbinedion which he claimed that as SSG, only Igbinedion took all the decisions then in government.”
The group in a statement by its National Coordinator, Okao Iredia, said: “We recall when Ize-Iyamu said no man is God, referring to Chief Tony Anenih as playing God, during the administration of Igbinedion. We are surprised that he is the one playing God today.”
