THE sour point of the just concluded 62nd annual convention can be described as the over zealousness of some ordained ministers in the church. Just as the MOG declared, in the gathering of sheep there would be goats to give the rest bad image.
Some of the church’s ministers still do not appreciate the enormity of the responsibility they have taken upon themselves because unbelievers would read the ‘ministers of God’ and no longer the Holy Bible.
It was unbelievable to see an ordained pastor assume the role of an usher by stripping an accredited photo journalist of his accreditation card. What was his offence?
He wanted to take photographs of pastors being ordained and the pastor felt the photo journalist who was duly accredited by the mission had no reason being in the arena and in the attempt to strip him of the ID card, he cut it. It took the intervention of other pastors before he agreed to release the card to the journalist.
Another ugly incident took place on Monday when a newly ordained deacon punched a commercial photographer.
