PORT HARCOURT—Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Aba, has been urged to order a fresh investigation into an alleged harassment of Dr. Chinyere Precious, owner of God’s Gift Maternity in Elelenwo, Rivers State, by some policemen.

Precious was arrested and paraded at the Rivers State Police headquarters for allegedly running a baby factory. Police later dropped the charges for lack of evidence.
In her petition to the IG, Precious alleged that before she was discharged and acquitted by a Rivers State High Court, policemen stormed her clinic and residence at Elelenwo, and destroyed valuables, and that some policemen have continued to harass her.

In the petition by her counsel, she said: “The culprits conspired and without any justification, invaded my hospital and dwelling house at Elelenwo, Port Harcourt, with explosives and caused damaged to same.”
