Boko Haram: Jigawa govt donates to family of deceased soldier

Dutse—Jigawa State government has donated food items and cash to the family of deceased military personnel, Lance Corporal Saleh, who lost his live to the Boko Haram insurgency.

Joseph lost his live while on national assignment at Balmoh forest in Gwaram local government area of the state.
Speaking while presenting the items to the deceased family, the Secretary to State Government, SSG, Alhaji Lawan Abdu,  represented by the Permanent Secretary of Special Services Directorate in SSG’s officer, Alhaji Abdulhamid Ali, said the army  corporal was attached to the state’s joint  security force, ‘Operation Salama’ and died while in active service.

According to him, the late army officer was hit by an explosive devices detonated by criminals at Balmoh Forest in Gwaram local government area of the state..
According to him, “the state government heartily sympathises with the family of the deceased; we received the news with heavy heart because he was a committed soldier.”
