The Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has condemned the arrest of his party chieftains, saying it is “unfair.”
Speaking after he was accredited at Unit 1, ward 8, Ifofin Ilesa, at 10.45 am, the governor who was accompanied by his wife, Sherifat, and his two children, urged the people of the town to remain peaceful.
Aregbesola who walked from his Ilesa home with his supporters, expressed surprise at the massive turnout of people saying “if the federal government could get 20 per cent of the support of people like this, it would have helped them again.”
“They have been arresting, harassing and molesting our people for no just reason. The democracy is about making your choice freely without being hounded.”
