ONITSHA—The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Anambra State yesterday described the resignation of former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, as leader of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a premeditated decision.

Speaking to reporters at the party secretariat in Awka, the state public relations officer of the party, Mr Okelo Madubuike, alleged that Obi’s resignation was a clear indication that he had, while secretly defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, persuaded the four members of the House of Representatives from APGA to join the PDP.

According to him, the former governor’s decision followed his ambition to be nominated the Aviation Minister or Secretary to the Government of the Federation to replace Senator Anyim Pius Anyim which is the cause of the recent face off between the duo.
