ABRAKA—Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, has reiterated that providing decent and affordable houses for Deltans remained the focal point of Governor Uduaghan’s administration.
He stated this during a courtesy visit to his HRM, Lucky Ochuko Ararile, the Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom.
Chief Akpeki said he was in the palace to commiserate with the monarch on the death of his mother and to also inform him that government had concluded plans to commence the building of a Model Estate on the land acquired by Delta Development and Property Authority, DDPA, in Abraka through private- partnership arrangement.
In his response, the Ovie expressed his gratitude to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for bringing the project to fruition.
Those present at the occasion include Chairman of DDPA, Mrs. Felicia Ajagu, the Acting General Manager of DDPA, Mr. Charles Esiovwa, chiefs of Abraka Kingdom, representatives of Jobwyse Developers, Transition Committee Chairmen of Ethiope East and Patani Local Government Areas, among others.
