Ogomudia, 22 others bag chieftaincy titles in Delta kingdom

UGHELLI—About 23 prominent sons and daughters of Isoko, including former Chief of Defence Staff, General Alexender Ogomudia (rtd), have been conferred with chieftaincy titles by the Ovie of Igbide Kingdom, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, HRM Obukeni I, in recognition of their contributions to the development of the kingdom.

Conferring the chieftaincy titles on the recipients, which was part of activities to mark his 40th coronation anniversary in his palace, the monarch, said “I was crowned the royal father of Igbide Kingdom in 1974 and presented with staff of office in 1977 by the then Bendel State.”
