LAGOS— Wakanow.com, a travel and tour company, who were responsible for the visit of Nigeria national team, Super Eagles, supporters club members and others to the current World Cup tournament going on in Brazil, has debunked claims that Nigerians they took to Brazil were stranded as the company made flights arrangements and hotel accommodation eight months before the commencement of the tournament on June 12.

Briefing journalists on the outcome of the tour arrangement for the club members to Brazil, Managing Director of Wakanow.com, Mr Obinna Ekezie, said some club members only missed watching some of the football matches as alternative accommodation had to be made for them outside match venues as despite the advanced bookings and arrangements for the comfort of the people the company took to Brazil, there were hitches as the Brazilian government made last minute cancellation of some of the internal flights to match venues in Brazil.

According to him, “hotel bookings and arrangements made for the people at match venues were unilaterally cancelled by the Brazilians. This led to some of the people not  able to get to match venues in Port Allegri and other venues where Nigerian national team played.
