NBA okays 38 candidates to contest for 13 national offices

The Nigerian Bar Associa tion, NBA, has screen and approved 38 candidates to contest the 13 national offices of the association at its delegate conference slated for July 15 in Abuja.

The national officers to be elected on the said date will take over the running of the association for the next two years and will assume office on the last day of the annual general conference of the association, slated for August in Owerri, Imo State,

Those running for the office of President are Mr Olufunke Adekoya, SAN, Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN, Deacon Oladele Adesina, SAN, Chief Augustine Alegeh, SAN and Mr Osas Erhabor. For the position of 1st Vice President are Yakubu Ibrahim Umar and Ekwere Francis, while for the 2nd Vice President are Taiwo Taiwo and Obi Afam.

Those in the race for 3rd Vice President are Oluwole Akintokunbo, Ashong Asu, Komolafe Muheeb and Orlando Sunniey.

In the contest for the position of General Secretary, Okoyeaniche Barth, Abar Stephen, Oduah Joyce, James Usman and Osigwe Afam.

For the 1st Assistant Secretary are Nnaemeka Felix Obi and Salawu Nasiru Olatunji, while for 2nd Assistant Secretary is Nwaeke Ephraim.
Financial Secretary has Mohammed Tajudeen, Prince Ochoga  Attah and Ejelonu Kelvin as contestants, while Assistant Financial Secretary are Anozie  Victor, Ugbuji Cecilia and Ogunfuwa Ola-Oni Charles.

Welfare Secretary has Oruma Mackson, Igba Theophilus Terhile and Mas’Ud Alabelewe as contestants, while for the position of Treasurer are Nwadike Joy and Mustapha Amina.

Publicity Secretary has Gbolahan Gbadamosi, Edun  Ogheneovo and Unachukwu John.

The Legal Adviser has Ayeni Enoch Adebisi, Balogun  Oyeyemi and Onwuzulike Chuks slugging it out.
