An FCT High Court on Tuesday remanded two armed robbery suspects at the Kuje Prisons for alleged conspiracy and armed robbery.

The Judge, Justice Abubakar Talba, ordered the remand because the accused persons were not represented by any counsel.

Talba directed the court registrar to write to the Legal Aid Council to provide legal representation for the accused at the next adjournment.

The police arraigned the accused, John Isinachi, 23, and Peter Tochukwu,23, of Tunga-Maje Village, FCT Abuja, on a two-court charge of conspiracy and armed robbery.

Prosecutor Patrick Ogele told the court that the accused on Nov. 17, 2013 robbed Odewale Aderibigbe at Angada, Zuba expressway, FCT Abuja.

He said the accused persons, armed with dangerous weapons, robbed Aderibigbe of N2,500 cash, a Techno  phone valued at N20, 000 and Asha phone, valued at N11, 000.

He said the charges contravened Sections 97(1) and 298 of the Penal Code.

The accused pleaded not guilty.
