OSOGBO—With last Saturday’s victory of Mr Ayo Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the Ekiti state governorship election, Osun state chapter of the party has advised governor Rauf Aregbesola to start preparing to quit the Abere government house as the party would defeat him in the August 9 governorship election in the state.

The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa said in a statement issued in Osogbo yesterday that the victory of Mr Ayo Fayose of the PDP in Ekiti state in the last Saturday’s election was a pointer to PDP’s victory come August.

He said the visit of some leaders of the All Progressives Congress APC to former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola could not save Aregbesola and APC from imminent failure in the election.

According to him, the people of the South West geo-political zone are tired of the APC rule, saying this was evident in the Ekiti state governorship election.

Olaoluwa who sympathized with senator Bola Tinubu over the loss of the APC in Ekiti state also urged Aregbesola to prepare to leave the government house, saying the party would take over from him soon.

“We understand the horrible situation the loss in Ekiti has put the APC and only that can explain the desperation in wooing Prince Oyinlola whose mandate they stole through the court. APC leaders must be jittery about the chances of the party ahead of August 9, 2014 Governorship election in Osun state and 2015 general elections. The truth is that their time is up in the south west” Olaoluwa said.
