Sheraton hotel move to improve security surveillance

Lagos – The Public Relations Officer, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Mrs Emmanuela Okon, says the hotel had started providing facilities to improve security surveillance to ensure the safety of its guests.

Anokam on Friday in Lagos said that in view of the current security situation it had become necessary to improve facilities and surveillance in the hotel.

“The management has trained and re-trained its members of staff and security personnel for better service delivery and close watch of its environment to ensure safety.

“Human and vehicular movements in and out of the hotels will be strictly monitored by security personnel to ensure safety of guests in the hotel,” Okon said.

She also said that Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras and other security devices had been installed at strategic places in the hotel, including car parks and lobbies.

“The security of lives and property of guests is paramount to the hotel.

“Adequate security measures are being put in place as we review and improve on security to protect our customers,” he said.

Okon said that the hotel had been maintaining standards and ensuring safety of its customers and would continue to give better service to its guests.

“The management has increased the number of its security personnel to forestall criminal activities.

“We do send our security team for in-house and outside training to equip them to be able to tackle security challenges,” she said.

She explained that the management had put adequate security measures in place to ensure that security men were educated and informed on security threat and to raise their level of awareness.

Okon said that the organisation had been playing its role effectively in making the hotel safe and comfortable for customers.
