PORT HARCOURT – WIFE of governor Chibuike Amaechi, Mrs Judith Amaechi and the Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were engaged in war of words yesterday over the kidnapped female students of Government Girls Secondary school, Chibok, Borno state.
While the PDP in a statement issued by the media aide to the state Chairman of the party, Mr Jerry Needam accused Mrs Amaechi of being insensitive to the plight of the hostages as she allegedly travelled out of the country at a time some first ladies were meeting over the kidnapped girls Mrs Amaechi on her part said the party was playing politics with the kidnapped children in the state.
Mrs Amaechi said the party was insensitive to the challenges facing the children, adding that it allegation that she was not showing concern on the kidnapped issue was wicked and malicious.
” PDP alluding that she has been indifferent to the campaign to free the students said, such report is malicious and a figment of the imagination of an illiterate and ignorant writer who has no respect and protection for minors. She said she is a mother and understands the excruciating pains of parents whose children are still not found and their location is still unknown.
…rather than the PDP in Rivers State to seek God’s intervention following its inability and failure to protect live and property as stipulated in its constitutional terms of contract with the citizenry, It is busy with campaign of calumny against her”, she said.
