Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has dedicated his goal in Sunday’s 4-2 loss to Napoli to the victims of the explosions in the country’s capital Abuja on Monday.
The blasts occurred at a bus station in Nyanya, on the outskirts of the federal capital, killing more than 70 people.
Onazi, a social media savvy player, dedicated his first ever Serie A goal for Lazio to the victims of the terror attack.
“I dedicate my goal to the victims of the explosion, that happened this(Monday) morning,” Onazi wrote on his Twitter account.
“I hope, by the grace of God, the families have the strength needed to manage everything,” the Lazio midfielder concluded.
Many of the victims of the explosion were headed to work early in Abuja when the incident occurred.
