Ogun rehabilitates victims of baby factory

ABEOKUTA—Ogun State Government plans to rehabilitate all the eight pregnant young mothers and an eight-year-old “errand girl” who were recently rescued at a baby making factory in Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.

To this end, the pregnant girls aged between 16 and 25 years and the minor have been relocated to the Stella Obasanjo Children’s’ Home, Ibara Abeokuta, where they will undergo the first phase of the rehabilitation process.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Elizabeth Sonubi who disclosed this in Abeokuta,   during a chat with newsmen, expressed deep shock at the development.
Sonubi disclosed that following the instruction of Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, officials of her ministry and their counterparts in the ministry of health had already swung into action to take care of them.
