A Niger Delta youth group, Niger Delta Youth Congress, NDYC, has  faulted the Federal Government over the timing, composition, guidelines and framework of the ongoing national conference.
It also condemned the attitude of delegates to the confab.

Addressing journalists, yesterday, National Coordinator of NDYC, Mr. Israel Uwejeyan, said: “What Nigerians want is good governance that will come with better infrastructure, economic growth, employment opportunities, security of lives and property and adequate power supply, among others.”

He wondered why the Federal Government proposed that the outcome of the confab should not be subjected to a referendum.
“Nigerians are indeed watching with keen interest the substance of the national conference and its impact in changing the economic woes, hunger pervading the land, unemployment, insecurity, endemic corruption, extra-judicial killings, epileptic power supply and other myriads of problems that confronts us daily,” he said.
