Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has called on all qualified voters in Ekiti State to re-elect Governor Kayode Fayemi in next June’s gubernatorial election.

The group in a statement signed by the President and Secretary, Board of Trustees, BoT, Prince Francis Oji and Mazi Okwu Okwu, respectively, said Fayemi’s re-election was necessary for continuation of accountability and good governance in the state.

It declared that positive events, activities, social development, service delivery and populist governance being currently experienced in Ekiti State were a testimonial of Fayemi’s grassroots-based governance, genuine humanitarian concerns and political sagacity.

The group said:  “We may have nothing to do with politics, but we capitalise most on tradition and legacy standing with men and women of rare breed and honour building tomorrow today.”

“In view of this, we are moved to, not only support Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State on his re-election bid, but to, embrace his political culture making ways for political alternative to barbaric and ignoble roles and policies of the present day political class.”
