In preparation for its  two-day final Hackathon at its Summit in Barcelona, Spain, Global Editors Network, GEN,  will  hold Nigeria’s edition of the Editors Lab hack days on April 29-30 in Lagos.

The event, sponsored by Google, will gather around ten teams representing a variety of media platforms (print, digital, broadcast), to develop digital tools for journalists with the theme; “New ways to cover elections online and through social media.”

According to GEN, each team will include a journalist, a developer and a designer, who will strive to build a working prototype of a news application or digital service during the event.

“The three-person team would include a journalist, a developer, and a designer. Together, they will strive to build a working prototype of a news app or digital service during the event.
