An Ilorin Area Court on Monday dissolved a four-year-old marriage between Bashirat Dauda and Muyideen Dauda, over the husband’s alleged uncontrollable temperament.

Bashirat, 31, who resided at Stadium Road, Ilorin, had prayed the court to dissolve her marriage to Dauda over his hot temper.

The petitioner alleged that her husband was too aggressive and fond of reacting to situations in negative manner.

“My husband is temperamental, and gets provoked easily which at times forces him to hit me anywhere not minding the consequences,’’ she said.

The complainant told the court that her husband always refused to eat food prepared by her whenever there was a misunderstanding.

She told the court that the marriage was contracted in 2010 and was yet to produce any child.

“I pray the court to dissolve our marriage because I don’t have rest of mind and I am getting frustrated every day,’’ she said.

The defendant raised no objection to the prayer of the plaintiff, saying, “She is free to go if she wishes.’’

Dauda prayed the court to grant the prayer of his wife without any claim.

The presiding judge, Mr Yusuf Abdulkareem, dissolved their marriage and issued a certificate of divorce to the plaintiff. (NAN)
