Lagos – The Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF) said on Wednesday that contrary to speculations the African Squash Championship scheduled for May has not been postponed.
“It is not true that the event has been postponed. I do not understand where this postponement talk is coming from,’’ the President of the federation, Adamu Erena, said in Lagos.
According to Erena, the rumour is unfounded and should be disregarded.
The championship is expected to serve off from May 4 to May 9 in Abuja.
The NSF president, however, appealed to corporate sponsors to partner with the federation to make the championship a success.
Fifteen African countries have so far signified their intentions to participate in the championship. (NAN)
