A pressure group in Delta State, Niger Delta Professionals for GEJ, NDP, has lent its weight to the public clamour calling on President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to declare his interest to contest the 2015 presidential election, adding that it would mobilize the youths in the Niger Delta region to ensure that the president wins in the race.

Leadership of the group, Sir Jackson Karry (National President) and Comrade Adidi Ese, national Secretary, who yesterday said it was postponing a seminar/award- giving ceremony for certain distinguished Nigerians which it earlier slated for yesterday till further notice owing to unforeseen circumstances, also noted that its position in seeking the re-election of the president in 2015 was as a result of the giant stride which the president has achieved in the area of health, education, airport renovation across the country and improvement in the area of foreign investment.

Other areas where the president has fared well according to the group, are in road construction and rehabilitation; railway system across the country; transport system and being the first democratically elected president to constitute a national conference where solutions are expected to be proffered to some of the challenges affecting the growth and unity of the country.
